Dr. K. Amarnath Raju is a Senior Consultant in HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery at Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Hyderabad. He is a highly qualified and well-trained Hepato-pancreatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon with over 14+ years of experience. He completed his Masters's in Surgery from Osmania Medical College. He achieved the distinction of securing the University first and Gold medal in the MCh GI Surgery exit exam.
Dr. Raju further honed his skills by completing the prestigious ASTS Solid Organ Transplant Surgery Fellowship at Methodist University Hospitals, TN, USA. Following his fellowship, he served as a
faculty member at the same hospital. Prior to joining Gleneagles Global Hospitals, he worked as a Consultant Transplant Surgeon at AIG Hospital. In addition to his expertise in Liver Transplantation, he has also acquired commendable skills in Kidney and Pancreas transplant surgery.
Dr. K. Amarnath Raju has a notable record of presenting award-winning papers and posters at both national and international conferences. His research work, accepted in the World Pancreas Forum in
Bern, Switzerland, earned him the prestigious ICMR award. He has also been awarded consecutive Travel Bursary awards to present his work at IDDF in Hong Kong. Most recently, he presented a
study on Laparoscopic Donor Hepatectomy at the esteemed American Transplant Congress in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
