What is a Lung Transplant, and when do you need one?

Lung transplant is the process of removing the old lung (or lungs), which has failed to carry out its work properly. The old set of lungs are removed, and a new lung (or lungs) are placed into the patient’s body. If a person is experiencing the above-mentioned symptoms, then it is time to consult a doctor. When all other treatments and medications have failed to provide a satisfactory cure, the final option is lung transplantation. There are two types of lung transplantation, single and double lung transplantation.
